I was thinking along the lines for any game you win, you get 1 point.
Let's say score is 11-7, players would get 11 and 7 points respectively, I'm not sure if anyone has used a similar system.
What I what to achieve is at the end of season, you total the points for each player and be able to tell who are the best players in the league.
Let me know if this system makes sense.

8ball or 9ball?
9ball you could go with losses vs. wins.
Where I play 8ball, the winning player gets 2 points for the 8ball and 1 point for each additional (opponents) ball left on the table. so if you won and your opponent had 3 on the table, you'd get 5 points.

We play both 8 and 9 ball, so I can only give points on wins, not number of balls left on the table.

2 points for each win on winner's side
1 point for each win on loser's side, since loser's side play more games.
Would this be fair?

I seen it where every ball you make is 1 point and the 8 ball is worth 3 for a maximum of 10. The loser also gets points for every ball he made so if he has 3 left the score is 10-4 for that game. Than you accumulate points throughout the season and the player with the most is number 1.
