Tournament Statistics

I keep statistics for our weekly 8 and 9 ball tournaments and was wondering what other tournament directors do. The stats I keep are weeks played, number of finishes in the money, percentage of finishes in the money and I use a point system for overall ranking (3 points for 1st, 2 points for 2nd, 1 point for 3rd). Our tourney runs 28 weeks this year, it's a long winter in Maine, so I have lots of tourneys to compile the stats from.

If you run a local tournament do you keeps stats, and if you do, what do you track?

I find my players get more competitive when they see tangible numbers to measure their play by.

Your players probably appreicate you keeping track of their results. They need to see (read) the standings. This is important to become bettter players.

Thanks for the reply guys. Ray, I couldn't find the software you mentioned doing a google search?

I use a spreadsheet to track the stats, it took a few weeks to tweak but it serves my purpose. My tournament page can be found here.
