Well, I finally tried the pred 314,but it didn't perform up to the hype,

I was able to compensate for the reduced squirt and pocket lots of balls but it lacks the feel that I require to move the cueball the proper distance.

My friend had his for 2 weeks and it already had several marks on it, even with him being very careful.

I will stick with the regular maple shaft, thank you very much.

Anyone else find predator equipment to be poor in performance?

I personally don't like the way they play, but that is just my opinion. You will find Predator lovers and haters here. It is very subjective. I like my maple also.

I found out exactly the same things you did, easy to compensate with squirt, hard to control the cueball because it feels sort of hollow. Plus the fact that the wood quality isn't really good, I'm sticking with a regular maple shaft.

Well, I've seen many player's game boost up with a Predator, so I won't start advicing people going against it. I'd say give it a shot and buy one if you feel you're playing better with it.
