Triumph Cue Tips

I remember back when I used to play that I really like that tip it had quite a bit of action compared to the Le Pro and I like the little red backing it look good on the cue. There is quite a new array of tips nowadays however, I would like to try the triumphs again if they're still available hopefully they fixed the backing issue.

I have not used them in many years. Here is why I stopped. At the time it seemed to me the Triump was just an uncoated LePro glued to a red pad. It was not as hard as the true French Champion that they were trying to compete with. And the glue was a soft cement type of glue that held them on the pad. They came off easily. So I figured I could use better glue on my own pad with a LePro and have the same thing without as many problems. Please note that I cannot say if the issues have been fixed as I have not used them in a very long time, like close to twenty years, and they may have improved the glue since then.

I wish I could tell you they are improved, but they are not. I used to love them. Good solid tip at one time. I have talked with the folks at Tweeten an they are trying to fix the Triangle first, and then hopefully they can fix the Triumph next.

Are they even really leather? Up close they look like some kind of fibrous material.

Just tried these out for the first time, feel pretty soft, and they area bit short :( kept the pad and installed a triangle back on my cue.
