TRIVIA = Win a Viking Tour LS T-Shirt

Here is a hint.......... The Budget for the Viking Tours postage is $24,000 per year. That is for stamps only !

It is estimated that if the Post Office raises the price of stamps by 1 cent (Which they are in May) it will cost us an additional $900 per year.

This # would have been real close (Just Under by 20%) if I asked how many media impressions the Viking Tour sponsors each get per year as a sponsor of the Viking Tour.

That's

why email was invented Mike!!! If no computer, then email their local Pool room, and have the Pool room post the bulletin/flyer.

Once you have the email addresses, simply sort, get rid of duplicates, create a mailing group name, and email (Weeee don't neeeeed no stinkin stamps!).

Have you ever 'measured' how much good your mailings actually do you? (What return you get from your $24,000 investment of stamps).

Better yet, just post on a website, and maybe email certain Pool rooms within the regional area.

Yes, I have reasearched and experimented with all sorts of advertisements for the tour. Email ads are the worste they only generate a .36% return, Magazines 5%, Internet ads 6%. The best bang for our buck is still direct mail to players and pool rooms. This generates about a 20% response for us.

Email and internet ads are cheap but they just don't generate enough response for us.

Woo Hoo........

I just figured there were about 1000 on the mailing list of each state in which the Viking Tour is currently holding tournaments. I figured there were about 12 or 13 states that had a few Viking events every month or two, so I guessed in the middle of 12 and 13.

Again....Woo Hoo........

Pretty good guess Mike, Congrats !

As per our PM you can pick up the shirt in your size at the next Viking Tour event you come to.

OR, you can pick door #2 or door #3 and take your chances on getting something better........LOL

See'ya soon,
