Does anybody out there know "Toledo Joe" Thomas? Joe steered me around Toledo in the 1960s.

It's been years since I heard from Joe. Is he still alive? If so, I'd like to get in touch with him.

He hangs at Glass City pool hall in "Too little to do".
There's a member here goes by "glasscitypool" that may be able to help.

Joe

Yes glasscitypool can get you in touch with him. He is still alive and still down at the pool room playing one hole, showing eveybody the shot that won him the cash in some year against somebody!!!:D

Thanks

Thanks to both of you, I'll try Glass City Billiards.

When I hung with Joe in the 60s he was the King Kong player of Toledo. Joe was so well known in those days that he had a hard time getting games around Toledo, so he steered guys like me to the action.

Joe often paired up with Cornbread Red for tours of Michigan. He was a very solid player.

Joe was real good at taking down the cash and also at clocking player's speeds. The main thing was not to knock off one of the top players too soon and lose the rest of the action. We never lost a match up.

If anybody is interested in one pocket, they can learn a thousand moves from Joe.

I'll try to contact Joe. Thanks.
