I consider myself to be capable enough but I also consider myself to be
honest enough to tell you that you will ruin the shaft.
Maybe not right away but eventually you will ruin this shaft.
It's not just about warranty either.
For the record, I'm not going to care any more about your warranty than you do.
If you want 12mm, sell the 314 while you still can and buy a Z2.
A lot of them are very close to 12mm and were built/designed for that diameter.
The 314 can be turned to 12.25mm and still retain warranty. That's the limit.
Is the difference of less than .010" really worth your warranty???
On the other hand, you can send it to Seyberts and I'll HAVE to do it.
No one will help you to ruin your shaft better than I.
