What is the difference between Blue Knight tips and Elk Master tips?
Thankyou for any replies.
Neil

Not much.
Other than the Blue Knight being about a 1/2 shade darker in color,
I can find no difference.
Bare in mind though that this is coming from someone who does maybe
2 tips a week.

I have not seen the new Blue Knights, but many years ago they were a good bit thinner than the Elk Masters. Other than that they seemed pretty much the same.
I got some Blue Diamonds in one time and (no kidding) they had a Elk Master card inside them. I talked to the rep about it and he admitted Tweeten made them and said they were supposed to be picking the primo select Elk Masters to go into the Blue Diamond boxes.

Thanks for the replies.
The box I got,the tips are smaller in height compared to the few Elkmaster tips I have.
They installed fine for the customer but are close to the ferrule size.

Neil,
The blue knights to me are like elkmasters on steroids. Elkmasters are junk these days and the blue knights are what elkmasters are supposed to be.

Thanks Tony,
It seems that the Elkmaster tips must be anything that would not pass for a Blue Knight.
I suspect that Tweeten make tips that are marketed by different companies who put their own brand or name on the box.
The Blue Diamond tips look identical to the Blue Knight, except the Blue Diamond are imported from England.
I got them because the locals like Elkmaster tips, but they keep blowing apart unless you get a good one.
These don't seem to blow apart, and the locals like them just the same.
I just can't stand buying tips and then have to sort through to find the ones that should have been right in the 1st place.I also do not like doing a job twice.
I mostly stock laminated tips, but have the Buffalo and BlueKnight and some milkduds as the 1 piece tips.
For laminated tips, I am going to add the Black King to the range.
