Twister tip legal?

Approval for the TWISTERTM’s use in competition has already been granted by the English Pool Association (EPA), the English Pool Referees’ Association (EPRA), the British Association of Pool Table Operators (BAPTO) and by that normally ultra-conservative body, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (World SnookerTM). At the recent 2006 World Snooker Championships, Steve Davies (six times World Snooker Champion) successfully demonstrated first time a perfect Massé using the TWISTERTM to an appreciative live audience at the crucible in Sheffield, England and, at the same time, to an estimated worldwide television audience of some 200 million. The TWISTERTM satisfies the Billiards Congress of America’s (BCA’s) regulations and is being evaluated by the World Pool Association (WPA) for its use in competitive American Pool worldwide.

although years ago, I lost a significant money game giving up the 6 and the break to a 6'4", 300 lb machinist, who had made his own jump cue. It looked like the small end of a baseball bat, about 36" long with a 18-22 mm tip on it.
He was able to get a hit on the object ball off of about every safety I played on him.

Ever since then, when matching up, I always state that equipment used has to be BCA approved equipment. I think I would require a tip to be approved equipment also.

already won over a bag of sand previously with that spot, but that was at the Pool rooms. When I lost, it was at his table in his home, and we played for 29 hours straight, and my contacts were breaking down after about 22 hours of wear.

If I start losing money because of some rubber tip...I probably won't be playing that guy for too long...or at least he'd have to limit his equipment. People have asked me not to use my jump cue before, I don't see any difference.

If your losing money it not because of the other guys equipment. Jump cues can damage the tables, otherwise, who cares.
