Ok, I do stroke drill's every day when I'm warming up for about 15 to 20 minutes. However when I'm practicing drills later in my session or in a Match or Tournament I'm finding I'm have problem with two item's. One is finding the Vertical center axis of the cube ball. The second is when I stroke the ball I immediately know if I miss hit it and that i'm going to miss it. I assuming that is because of improper cueing, not hitting the cue ball exactly where I lined it up.

However I would like your input. (be gentle ;-) )

I guess the good news is I know what my problems are and I would like to know if anyone else has gone through this and what did they do to fix it. I work on them every day in my practice session. (Old habits are real hard to break) However is there something else I should or could be doing ?

One of my theories is for people that have trouble, like I with finding the vertical axis of the cue ball is that they start there aiming at the base of the ball where it actually makes contact with the table and then on there final stroke they move up the vertical axis to where they need to hit the ball (low, middle or high )
