Tournament play for this event will begin at approximately 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, September 21st. The final championship match will be held on Friday, September 24th.

The second championship tournament will be a double elimination, 9-Ball format on 9-foot pool tables. Wow!!

This event has really came along way in terms of sponsorships and industry interest. I'm glad to see that it's getting it's just recognition.

I attended a tour stop in Detroit a couple of years ago and it was rather impressive. The field was around 30-35 players from all over.

It was assumed that ESPN would be there on day 2 to tape the finals, but they were a no show for what ever reason. I hope they are on hand and air the finals for this event.

Good luck all.
Michelle

I'd like to wish my good friend and player rep, "Barbox Charlie" Hans, good luck and great rolls in this tourney!

He came by my shop a couple of days ago and picked up his new cue. I suggested he wait til after this tournament to make the switch, but he felt with a few days of intensive practicing with this new cue, he would be ready to take on the world! I sincerely hope he knocks of his first tournament with it!

Charlie is truly an inspiration to everyone with a disability. In fact, he was recently given a special award, for this reason and given the honor of "throwing out the first pitch" at a Cincinnati Reds baseball game!

If you would like to see some of Charlie's accomplishments go to my webpage http://www.shermcue.com/ and click on the "reps" link. There are some good pics and a little background info on this true champion!

I sure hope we'll have some coverage or at least some brackets up for this tournament!
