What would you prefer at the U.S. Open 9-Ball tournament? Wooden racks with the one on the spot, the Sardo with 9 on the spot, or tapped and placed by hand with 9 on the spot?

this reminds me of something i've been wondering last few days. i've read here on the forum a few times that the sardo rack is only effective when the table/cloth has been tapped. soooo, if that's the case, what's the purpose in the sardo rack? surely it's no longer needed...
and again, excuse my ignorance lol, but why would a wooden rack be better than a tapped table - guaranteed touching balls every time with a tapped rack surely? what's the negatives of a tapped rack?
