Just to let everyone know the promised payments to the UK players for Vegas are starting to be received as promised. They have been sent in most cases by electronic transfer (cleared funds) although some checks have also been received.

I see this a very positive development.

This news was passed on last week. Its positive but this tournament was over 3 months ago and the main issue is still the $5m Reno payouts.
 
It was promised last week but had not arrived!!!! Now it has which in my mind does show a committment on the part of the IPT to pay.

I don't really want to get drawn into the history of late payments and excuses because quite frankly it has been unacceptable and can not really be defended.

As a pool fan I am remaining positive and certainly the IPT paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars at this point does lend credence to the fact that they beleive they will carry on.

I hope so, although from what I know I'm pretty sure they put that money aside when the UK guys asked them to hold onto it until the got an TIN. But I agree if they were going down then why bother to send it, unless of course its just staff responding to requests and not really KT's decission.

Reno was a $3 million dollar tournament, and not $5 million.... Gotta keep ya honest .... lol

I think the real secret behind all this is that KT borrowd the startup money for the IPT from the Honk Kong mafia that Ho runs. With their interest rates $3mill can become $5 mill in 6 weeks easy ;-)

I wonder what the Natural Cure for getting knee-capped is?
