Does anyone know how much the uniloc QR shaft insert weighs? I am thinking of having one of my uniloc QR shafts changed to fit a modified 3/8x10 and i was just trying to figure out how much it will change the weight. Thanks

Unless it's a g10 screw, you might be taking on weight in that area when the cue's together.

Sorry but I don't understand this comment. I want to have the insert taken out of a uniloc shaft and the shaft threaded to fit a cue that has a 3/8x10 modified pin. Can you please explain how I would be adding weight?

Shaft will not get weight of course. He meant ss 3/8-10 pin is heavier then unilock pin.

I'm assuming that when the cue is assembled, the amount of metal in the shaft will be greater with the new pin and will compensate for the absence of the insert.

May I suggest asking in the "Ask the cuemaker " section..

No metal in new shaft...Old brass insert removed plugged drilled ,bored, then tapped.
Other questions might be are you looking to match a butt collar of a cue. Are going with wood to wood joint.

Butt will get the pin depending on pin will determine butt weight change. But you didn't say anything about changing a butt pin. Maybe different cue butt.

Caution here as all shaft and butts are not same diameter.

Stainless Steel, brass, aluminum, G10, 3/8x 10 pins all vary in weight. If changing a pin.

Again best advice is sentence 1.
