Unintentional secondary balls

If you made the your object ball into the pocket you called then anything else that goes in after is counted to your score and stays down, if you scratch or foul on the shot they all go up on the spot.

Just to clarify a bit. The extra ball(s) can go in before the intended ball as well. Any other balls that go in on the same shot count.

Thanks to you both... I just started this game and I'm loving it, but not a lot of local knowledge of it anywhere I play.

No problem, anything else comes up just ask away. We love this game too!

Skiflyer,

At this site, in this Straight Pool forum click on "Ray Martin 14.1 seminar".
The video quality is poor but the audio of all that Ray says about 14.1 is priceless (3 time World Champ). Because he is constantly talking to the audience he gets out of line a lot. He addresses this by giving great info on how to deal with getting out of line which is a problem most average players are familiar with.

Also, watch as many 14.1 match videos (WITH COMMENTARY)as you can. A great one among many is 'FreddyThe Beard' doing commentary on an exibition 14.1 match betwen Varner VS Mathews. On other 14.1 tapes, when Grady focuses on the match and doesn't get into a bunch of storytelling his commentay is also great. Varner's commentary is great also.
AND watch the few "how to run 100 balls videos" buy Rempe, Siegel, West etc. You will learn TONS!

The better you get, the more you'll love 14.1

Good luck!

I just got a few DVDs from the 2006 14.1 World Championships. Only some of the matches have commentary, but they are good quality, although the camera work can be a bit dizzy. I think I ordered them from Seybert's.

Forgot to mention that while this 14.1 forum is filled with great how to play info, the post and comments by 'Blackjack' are superior. I have been playing 14.1 for many years and I try not to miss any of his contributions.

Seek thm out. You will run many balls some day.
