I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this before. Last night at my local league location, I was talking with another player about his cue. I had noticed the week before that from across the room, it looked like the wrap extended almost to the end of his cue. My team shot against his last night, so I asked him what type of cue he shoots with. It's an old Player's sneaky pete, but he's added a "wrap" of fishing line. Yep, opaque-greenish mono fishing line from the buttcap end up to the bottom of the points. He said when his hands perspire, they would get sticky on the finish of the cue. The feel is pretty unique...it's a bit slick, but if you grab onto it, you get the texture of the fishing line, almost as if it were un-pressed linen. He said he was just experimenting with it and may have it re-installed permanently as the ends were only secured via the "tuck and pull through" method. Just think of the colors......green, orange, purple, clear..........
