unknown cue

Any help in identifying cue is greatly appreciated! This is an older custom cue, and the butt is shorter in length than any of my other cues.

Is the ferrule ivory? I can't figure out the area between the points and wrap.
What material is that? Is there a provenance?

the only issue I have is that inch between the top of the wrap and the bottom of the points...


it just smells like crap... something is not quite right...

but I'm sure a cue snob will step in and tell all of us how Ernie pioneered flat cut bottom points... and if so .. sell the cue to that guy... for as much as you can get

The joint collars make me think quality.
If I saw it in a pool hall I would like to hit some balls with it.

The ring work at the joint looks like what Richard Black used on his standard stuff prior to 85 or so.

i have not seen the cue in person and she does not know what kind of ferrules are on it waiting to see cue in person to make a better judgement i cant tell her either way i will have her take better pics and post them . thanks for everybodys info
