Any ideas on this sneaky pete? Hoping someone here may see it and recognize it as one they or a friend might have made. The owner picked this up a few years ago. Stamped "M" in the butt sleeve, radial pin, 58.5" and slim butt @ 1.19" and 0.820" at the joint. Worn satin finish. Dead straight and nice player...he is just curious who the maker might be. Thanks guys.

Could be any cuemaker with a first or last name beginning with M. Except Meucci, I suspect. Although the ferrule is long enough to be a Meucci, it's not the same early ferrule material, and the buttcap is wrong for Meucci. May have been a garage project. On the other hand, may have been a budding cuemaker in his early days. This one will not be easy, unless someone recognizes it.

Someone on facebook said that "Dee" made it....but Dee ???? because I'm not sure whom he was referring to. lol

Sorry, I didn't see mention of that in the thread. Didn't know if that was an identifying mark.

madison bob?

Everyone of his I've seen has been marked with either his name or mb depending on when it was made.

Problem with those cues is its almost impossible to know who made them. Almost every cuemaker has done them. Being a jump cue helps a bit, but surprised there is no insert in the shaft if it was designed as a break/jump.

Anything under the bumper?

FYI, In post #2, the picture shows the insert in the shaft.

Yep, probably gonna be a conundrum unless someone just sees is and knows the maker. It's a very nice solid hitter. Nothing underneath the bumper, just a wood screw holding the bumper down.
