Stained curly maple handle.
From the look of it, I think this is a carom billiards cue. How long is it? If it's 56 inches or less, it is evidence it is a carom cue. If the shaft is straight tapered and stiff, additional evidence. The bumper and ring at the end have a billiard cue appearance.
