Unlevel goldcrown

Hi guys, the place where I shoot has some 8 foot gold crowns, they used to roll good then one day the main table just suddenly started rolling very badly. They said they dont know what caused it as it has no adjustable settings to level the table. Do the legs just need shims under them to relevel it?

Could be the slate too... I think the 8 footers have 2, or is it 3 pieces? Corner has a few of those. Could be a bunch of things...

I know this one room where half of the tables in there, to the right as you walk in, play fine. The other half, to the left, all roll to the same side. The reason why is because the floor is slightly slanted in that part of the room. Just an anecdote, sorry. :)

Is this Pool Hall in an earthquake zone? Subsidence? Recent flood in the neighbourhood perhaps? Either way the obvious answer is to have the owner call out whoever does the table maintenance and I'm sure they'll be able to sort it out for a price.

However if you insist on doing it yourself Gold Crowns usually have leg levellers as standard that can be used for quick 'n dirty levelling. Have look at the screw that holds the round metal feet onto the leg pedestals, there should be a hole to put a screwdriver through. However if you are really unlucky I've heard there were early models on which the levellers were not included as standard.

Yeah I think these must be the early ones.. These legs have nothing holding them into the table, the table just sits down inside the legs.

The levellers are (if you have them) in the metal tube that connects the round metal feet that sit on the floor to the base of the pedastals, not where the pedastal meets the frame that the slate sits on. Do the tables have the round metal feet, or do the wooden pedastals just sit directly on the floor?

They look like this:

GCI's

GCI's have no levelers, the guy I bought mine from set it up for me and he put washers in the leg pockets??to level the base then fine tuned the slates.GC's are three piece slates. He said if I ever needed to relevel it to jack the table up in the center of the leg base with a floor jack.Hope this helps.
