UPA and Stuff

Hi Danny,
I competed in the Turning Stone event and didn't do so hot, but I did finally get the chance to watch you compete in person. I was very impressed with your banking ability and your steady play. I watched some of the match with you and Danny Basavich where Mike introduced you as "Little Danny" and then said about Basavich, "He's never been called little Danny." That was funny. I remember reading in a post before that you claim that the UPA owes you some money. Would you mind taking a minute to explain exactly what happened? I am thinking about joining the UPA in the future to compete in some of their events, but not if they aren't good on their debts. It would be helpful for me to know what they did to you. If you prefer to PM me, that's fine, but I think there might be others on the forum that are curious as to what happened. The rumor is something about a tournament in VA beach???
Thanks,
Joey

I will explain about the UPA, the main reason I will not play in one or any of their events is because I myself am owed $.Brady Behrman decided to hold a tournament and not pay some of the players, I'm thinking that it was a mistake on his part as he was in a financial spot and only four of us did not get paid. The tournament that is in question was called the 2003 UPA Mid Atlantic 9 ball Championships, at the end of 2004 they (the upa) asked for my membership fee of $100.00, I realized I owed $ for my touring fee but in the back of my mind I was wondering about my $2000.00 that I earned for the 7th place finish in one of their tournaments the year before. I had already gone around the block with Brady calling him but his answer was always the same, he did'nt have my $ untill finally he changed his # so that my Dad and I would get off his back. But at each tournament Frank Alvarez a upa rep. was asking me why I had not paid my membership fee, now I do not even know for what year it is that they think I owe them a membership fee, But I asked if I could take the touring fee out of what I was owed from the Brady Behrman flop event as I was low on $. My answer from Frank was 'frankly' a bad one, I should have addressed this issue with one of the other board members instead of Frank. He said that even though the UPA sanctioned the event that it was not their fault for me being owed $, Frank has a difficult job but this was a bad decision on his part, it would have been allright had he left me alone but he began to get pushy and demanded that I pay the fee. I will not loan the UPa $ when I'm owed from one of their events
SO there is your story and to this date I am still owed, I am not sure but I think that with any new org. there is and will allways be disorganization, Frank whom I'm sure if you join you will have the pleasure of meeting is in my opinion the upa's voice of unorganization.
Sincerely, Danny Harriman
