UPA - Any details on Championships in January?

The UPA usually hold their end-of-season championship tournament at the Bicylcle Casino in Los Angeles in the first weeks of January. I was checking the dates as I usually like to attend for a day or so I cannot find a confirmed date on the UPA website.

Does anyone know what is going on with this tournament? Is this linked to the re-scheduled IPT North American 8-Ball Open tournament? (There's still no confirmed date for that either.)

I just sent a msg to Frank Alvarez asking if they had set a date for it. He said not yet but that he would let me know. Keep your eye open for a press release. I doubt that I would find out any sooner than the press release once they get a date set.
