Up until yesterday I had two versions of the app on my iPhone: The original from over 5 years ago with no graph except horizontal bars indicating 0—10 on various indicators. And a new version from 2025 with a circular graph in addition to now vertical bars. In some ways I preferred the original, as it indicated time elapsed since the previous shot. If I'd just shot and the time indicated 45 seconds ago, I knew that the app had not recorded the more recent shot. Usually this meant it had stopped recording anything...another shot or two would confirm that. The fix was easy--exit the app and start it up again.
The newer version has cool graphics but no elapsed time indicator on the same screen, so figured it stalls you don't know until you realize that the indicated scores aren't changing. I think that a time indicator ought to be added.
As of yesterday my older app stopped recording anything at all. I tried various fixes but suspected in the end that it was officially defunct. I had a vague recollection that such a prophecy had been announced last year. So I deleted it and found it isn't available in the app store...only the new one is.
It's frustrating that occasional shots don't get recorded. It's puzzling too because sometimes the cue vibrates, indicating a stroke flaw, so the device knew I shot, but still didn't record the results.
OVERALL I LOVE MY DIGICUE BLUE! It's not perfect but for a long time I've rarely recorded a 10 in Follow Through and not a lot of 9 or 8 either. Suddenly yesterday and continuing today the 10s are showing up fairly consistently. Enough for me to start feeling the difference.
