It’s BCAPL 9-Ball Championships time again!
The 2006 BCA National 9-Ball Championships are just around the corner. We have just concluded the 30th BCA National 8-Ball Championships in Las Vegas hosting 7,118 sanctioned players a nd are in full swing taking entries for the 2006 BCA National 9-Ball Championships.
Louisville, KY is the new host city for BCA National 9-Ball Championships and the US Open One Pocket Tournament scheduled August 29-September 4, 2006 at the Executive West Hotel; home of the famed “DerbyCity Classic”.
This year's 9-Ball Championships includes Singles, 4-player Teams and Scotch Doubles events for our BCA Pool League players. We will also once again host the US Open One Pocket Tournament and Banks Tournament as well as 10-Ball events open to anyone, pros and amateurs alike.
9-ballpoker.com has become an additional sponsor of the BCA National 9-Ball Championships by adding $10,000 to the prize fund. Total Added Money for all events will range from a guaranteed $25,000 to potentially $32,000 based on full field participation in the One Pocket and Banks tournaments . A portion of all money invested by players on 9ballpoker.com is returned as added money to pool tournaments such as the BCA National 9-Ball Championships.
New for the 2006 9-Ball Championships
Men’s Teams must consist of four (4) players, two of which must meet original player requirements. Women’s Teams must consist of four (4) players and are not required to meet the original player requirement. Women’s Teams are encouraged and allowed to form teams from within their League Operator system.
Eligibility Requirements
Relaxed eligibility requirements will be in effect for the 2006 BCA National 9-Ball Championships. If you were qualified to play in or played in the 2006 BCA National 8-Ball Championships, you are eligible to play in the BCA National 9-Ball Championships. If you are a NEW League Player who began play in a sanctioned BCA Pool League after June1, 2006, you must be a sanctioned member and have completed three (3) weeks of play in your l eague by August 11, 2006 in order to qualify for the 9-Ball Championships.
Since reinstating the 9-Ball Championships and the US Open One Pocket events in 2004, both events have enjoyed a steady growth. We feel moving the events to a more centrally located host city will further enhance the long-term growth of the BCA Pool League and the 9-Ball Championships.. We will begin taking entries June 12, 2006, so download the forms and get you teams and singles event participants entered; fields are limited.
