Use Case for Digital Ball Set

I am making a lot of good progress on my project. A single digital cue ball is now realistic, maybe even 3 carom balls, but I never really envisioned an entire set of 10 or 15 balls all being digital. I was envisioning such a thing just being a point scoring system, just a novelty. Quite expensive at least in the begining.

But maybe this Scott/Hunter issue is a reasonable use case for balls that can at the very minimum record movement. Maybe worth the cost? I don't know.

It could be useful for identifying a game where gender does not have an advantage.

Probably a lot of effort for not a lot of sales. It is my experience that training stuff is bought and rarely used. And unless they can be shown to play the same as regular balls the adoption for regular matches is likely to be low. In the case of clothing touching a ball even when there is no movement it's still a foul.

If pool were a sport where the best made tens and hundreds of millions then I could see this being a training device that every "team" would want in order to gather as much data as possible.

But as it is I don't see much use that will translate into financial success. I would buy a set probably because I love that stuff and have a little collection.
