I've been recovering tables for 20 years as a nice side job, usually 2 or 3 a month. Bar boxes for the most but plenty of home 8 footers. The one that I completed with new rubber today was the most perfect job yet. Anyway, today I used bondo instead of bees wax. It turned out great but more time consuming. When it says 3 or 4 min. they're not kidding. Today was also the first time that I super glued the slates . That went extremely well from what I've learned on here. This is the second table that I finished the pockets with the cuffs. That is a really nice touch that customers notice. I've done good work over the years and am the only one in my area that does this, but lately using tid bits picked up on this forum,
the quality of my work has grown with every table. I have great attention to detail and always strive for a first class job. The best tool yet is that Makita 1 1/8" belt sander. I just want to thank everyone again for the passed on knowledge. I'm no newby at this now, but there always better ways out there if you keep an open mind.
