Using a Bridge

I am extremely tall (insert sarcasm font here) All of five foot nothing. My home location for league nights on thursday plays on all 9 footers which I love. I am comfortable using a bridge, (I have to be) but do any of you have any advise on using one, how to get good english with one, how to set up good leaves and what to do in the rare occasion (which actually happened last week) when you are actually too short for the bridge and have to adjust your stance to something very awkward and uncomfy?
