To attract tourist yelp is a crowd sourcing site. Are you posting to support pool rooms?

Its free and costs little time.

Yes, I will post on Yelp when I find one to say good things about it :) - still looking down here in SW Florida.

I think Beyond Billiards in SE Florida is a very decent pool room, however. I drive over there once a month for their tournaments- really enjoy the place!

Excuse me, thought I was on Yelp- LOL

Ha! Where is Beyond Billiards? Naples? When I tarpon fish I try to slide over to Diamond Billiards but I didn’t make it this year.

Yelp is a main stream audience.

AZB is hardcore pool fans.

online reviews depend on the tech skills of the user.

Yelp has a support community for reviews. Yelp elite status is a major thing. Its the future everyone is a critic.

In other words don't believe what they say. They are just fans not honest critics.

Which means there are scant numbers of people interested in pool over there.

So ?!?
it also means pool regulars are not supporting their pool rooms in a tech space.

user analytics matters. AZB has grown because of an active user base.

its easier to checkout a place that is well known and reviewed often.

it creates interest for others to have potential interest.

each active pool room should have at least a tournament size field of reviews. it will push pool rooms higher up on search indexes and related attractions.

its like picking the first place out of phonebook versus the first recommendation that most know.

yelp creates what most will find first on internet

This thread could help users find pool rooms. I think good pool rooms only want serious players.

With yelp reviews people can post best times to enjoy and avoid the competition crowd.

Here is a sample from my yelp review.

I am not sure what I am doing, so here i am taking about promoting pool in different tech spaces.

anyone using yelp is likely to busy to hire an agent for travel plans. yelp is like DIY tour guide.

Yelp is good & bad. People post bogus bad reviews just to be mean.🤮
like the npr section of this forum

it takes a lot of good users to set a norm.

the fake users wash out after their effort loses energy.

I feel like pool is owned by the community. And trying new things to help "save pool" is one of the most popular annual threads.

instead of saving pool how about creating more reviews for pool rooms so when people walk in they dont go all Vincent Lauria on anyone.

Well my point is I use a DVM, have used him since 98, sent him 10-25 other everyone like guy.👍

Read a Yelp on him that was total bs, think the person never every say the good Dr.❓

educating your customer base to give feedback is good business 101.

the problem with pool fans is they are anti technology. its creating a generational riff.

old timers. not sharing info because they dont know where it goes. And those same old timers usually learned from books they have no idea who wrote.

this is a professional work issue for me.

bad reviews can be taken down just like an entire section of this forum, there was an experiment gone horribly wrong in NPR

Diamonds is in Cape Coral- west coast of Fl.--- Beyond is in Davie- above Hollywood Fl East coast of Fl across Alligator Alley.
