Finally got a big used milling machine. Want to build an indexing jig for cutting V slots and slot rings manually not CNC or DRO controlled.
Any help on how to get parts and build the jig..Would like to be able to index odd
numbers .of slots (3,5,7,9 etc.). Mabee some body has this type jig for sale...I do not need to buldanother jig for practice but I still can even if my 86th birthday is historyLOL.Thanks in advance

Even a 360 degree indexer won't get you 7. The rest can be gotten with a 5C collet indexer. I think Grizzly carries them pretty cheap.
You might find someone willing to make a custom indexer with their CNC that will get the odd sizes. You will need multiple rows of holes to do it.

Carter tools has an index plate with 3 rows of holes that will go on a taig headstock and give you almost any option you want.

Since you have a mill , you can pitch out the hole centers on the PCD that suites you.
From what you are asking, I think you will want plates with , 24,27,28,30,33,39, this will cover everything from 2 to 13 spaces.
Remember to always wind in the same direction on the axis to eliminate backlash in the system.
Feel free to PM if you want the pitch coordinates .
