Shiver me timbers.

Shawnee On The Deleware, right near Stoudsburg Pa. Any know if there are any pool halls in Stroudsburg or something very close? Don't want to stray away from the family to much so something like New York isn't going to happen. Would have to be something close by. I'm not a gamble looking for a game either. Would just be nice to play a little over my vacation.

There is/was one that D Bollela once owned not far from the Outlet stores. Maybe it is one of these from Playpool.com

Their used to be a place called Pocono Billiards in Stroudsburg. It was upstairs with 18 gandys, all with different color cloth. The parrot was a bad shark though.

Pocono Pool Rooms

Pocono Billiards located in Stroudsburg is closed. The two rooms listed above are your closest choices. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that the pool room located in East Stroudsburg is owned by AZ member Marcus (AKA Fast And Loose). I live approx 24 miles from the pool room, let me know the time you plan on going, maybe I will be able to stop by, say hello and play some pool.
Regards,
Charles

Thank you all. Sounds like I could get to play some. Charles, the problem with meeting you is I have no idea when my family will decide to sit around long enough for me to stand up and say 'I'm going to play some pool'.

Thanks again for the info. I'll print it out and see what I can find.

I remember that place! I played a tourney there a million years ago, and got Jimmy Rempe first round:D needless to say,...i lost.

I do remember playing on a different color cloth each round.

I also remember a guy there that sold Joss cues, and I bought a real nice purple heart/mother of pearl cue from him. he played good, and had a weird head cock when he shot?....can't place the name...I think he was German?

This is just a wild stab- A guy who has lived in PA a while, sells sticks and old enough to have been there-A good player too- Ed Matushanock. No way i got the spelling right im sure. Doubt that he is German though.

it was a funny sounding name?.....he wore glasses, thinning blond hair, I was told he had $$$ and loved to play all the big tourneys, and buy cues. It was like.....lonnie, lyle, looloo....damn I can't remember!
