Well, I am not losing any weight so far. Eric came up to remind me of the challenge match for dinner and didn't come back. I have won two funnel cakes so far from other people.
But, one of them cost me over $400.
I played a race to five for a funnel cake and won 5:3. Then when my opponent went to pay off at the funnel cake booth he was tapped by our prize patrol for wearing the Fury T-Shirt and won a $440 Fury.
How do ya like it?
I haven't been much anywhere except the Fury Booth. We have a DJ and two Diamond tables. Last night we had a Fury after party until midnight with jams and free pool - then we went to the Inside Pool party and partied on until 6am.
ON the way back I just HAD to go all in betting on Jesse Bowman. My $40 was safe the first game and disappeared just as quicklky the second game. Jesse's second opponent had no shot on the five and some how got it in the side on a carom/double kiss/three rail bank something or other. Then he swings the cueball two rails and it's got the speed and line directly to the side and at the last possible second it takes a half inch dip and catches the point for perfect shape. Easy come - easy go.
Lastly, the absolute highlight of my night was being in the company of and meeting Yonnie. Yonnie is an APA 5 and this is her first Expo. We played some scotch doubles and where I thought I would need to carry/coach her she put on her game face and showed some speed and heart. She is a 5 going on a 12. Not a sandbagger but a genuine, real honest to goodness pool fanatic with drive and some talent to back it up. It was too cool to see her wonder at all sides of the game. And besides that, she locked into the nuance of the action side real quick and stepped right up to the plate betting it up.
In 11 years of coming here I finally got to see why this is without a doubt the best pool show going. LIke I told Yonnie, what makes pool rock for the players is shows like this and Derby City.
Watch out if she doesn't show up in Louisville in a few years hunting your bankroll!
Peace,
John
P.S. Jennie Ann, do you have a permanent, reserved VIP seat at ringside on the main action table? I expect a chance to win my $50 back
I'll take the same 15:4 from Keither......
