Would you like to see vendors being more well dressed, like those at the IPT booth?

Is there something you really do not like to see regarding the way vendors are dressed?

What about best dressed vendors? Who in your opinion is always professionally well dressed?

Thank you.

Richard

Okay, I will start.

Like I said, I think Deno and his crew are just amazingly well dressed. I personally like to see that when I walk into a show.

I would say Jack Justis is always very well dressed. He looks like the kind of person who pays attention to details. He always looks sharp and appropriate.

I personally do not like to see someone wearing shorts and tank tops.

The ACA, American Cuemakers Assoc. when coming as a group always sets a good appearance. I think that this is something that is mandatory when they participate together.

I think that when you display it is always good to be dressed to match your product, i.e. doesn't have to be suits and ties but nice collared shirts and slacks that are branded are always a plus. It is easy to find the person associated with the product that way.

I do have a favorite booth, RT9NY, and Linda Pault. She and her product rocks...

Yes, linda has some great stuff. When my billiard rm. is done in April, I'm putting up all 6 of the posters in nice frames. Cool billiard art.

It's just common sense that an exhibitor at any convention portrays themselves in the most professional way possible, no matter what the venue.

First of all, I have to say I am dead set against dress codes. People should be free to dress the way they want.

IMHO, vendors should choose to dress appropriately. By that I mean neat and clean. A company shirt is nice, but not necessary.

From a shoppers point of view, if the vendor is dressed too extreme, in either direction, I don't stop to shop.
Vendors wearing "shorts and tank tops" look sleezy and I would not stop.
On the other hand, vendors wearing jackets and ties are too far in the other direction and look like used car salesmen, also sleezy, and I would not stop.

It is and should be within the vendor's discretion how to dress. As for me, if I walked by a booth with people dressed like they were from "da 'hood" I'd probably keep walking by no matter what they were selling. If I walked by a booth with people dressed in business suits I definitely keep walking by.

Can't go wrong with a classic looking sport coat and tie...
