Veneered points

I would like the opinion of anyone interested in offering. I would like to order a custom cue as my playing cue. I want it to look good and play good yet not be to fancy to afford, maybe similar to a "titlest" style. Any help in finding an available cue maker(s) would be great

1.Who are some of the cuemakers that create the cleanest and nicest vennered points?

2. Of these, who can do it in a timely matter(pool season rapidly approaches) and at a reasonable cost?

I must say that there are many super cue makers out there creating some wonderful masterpieces but most are outside my budgetary range. A few of my favorites would be Paul Mottey, Tim Scruggs, Phillippi, Chris Nitti, Paul Dayton, Judd Fuller and Dan Dishaw.

I would like to clarify this just a bit, if I may. Technically, Skip's 'veneers' aren't really veneers at all, althought they appear to be. It's a big secret how he does it, but I believe they are actually points within points. If you ever look very closely, you will find no 'seams' in his 'veneers'....they just aren't there. I was once told that my eight pointer is 'technically' a 32 point forearm. To me, that would mean points within points. Additionally, he does not use any dyed sycamores or such....his 'veneers' are all natural exotic hardwoods.....purpleheart, ebony, maple, putumuju, perabarosa, etc.

With that all said....he does some of the absolute nicest, sharpest, cleanest points going....truly amazing to see up close!

I think i know how he does it, one of about 4 different ways that i think it could be done, and yes points inside points (or re-cuts, multi-milled, multi-mitered etc.) is one option. But i think he may do it another way, i'll just have to break into his shop one night and see if i can find anything unassembled laying around .
