Veneers or Laminate??

We are in the market for an 8' table. We like the Oak look. Which is better the Olhousen Veneers or Laminates?
We've narrowed in down to two tables, the Oak Gibraltor Veneer and the Drake II Laminate. Any suggestions?? Which is better, Veneers or Laminate?

Zim,how ya doing? packing I bet. I have an old Gandy big "G", it has black laminate. It was in a pool hall for 15 years, you can imagine the abuse it took. I have cleaned the top and sides 100 times and still get smoke off it. It still looks great. I don't think veneers would have held up like that. JMHO

Thanks Purdman! Duely noted! Yes, I'm packing still. Tomorrow the movers are coming to get the rest of my things, then my room will be empty, except for a few travel things and clothes. Man am I getting anxious to get back to my family and the good ole USofA!
