My buddy gave me this pool cue last night. He found it in his moms basement, remembered buying it at a rummage sale. I told him I'd try to clean it up a little since it looks like it'd be fun to hold on to. But I have no idea who the company is or how old this thing is. Since I have it to wax it up I figured I'd throw some pictures on here to see what anyone thinks. I'd LOVE to know how small that tip is. I put my 13mm tip next to it for comparison. This thing is tiny. Also, back where it has the company name, it is flat....I noticed that when I stroke with that flat side up, I stroke a hair further than normal because it takes about 1/4 inch longer for my hand to hit the wood.

Any ideas? I'm thinking this was a really cheap cue.
EDIT: pictures working now.

I dunno, most snooker cues are 57ish, and have extensions if you need em longer. And the flat butt just about flat-out says that it's a snooker cue. Not to mention the butterfly splice :D.

Its an older production Riley snooker cue. I'm not sure when they changed their logo, 20 years ago, maybe?

.

Definitely is a snooker cue. The taper cut out on the bottom indicates this. Also the pin being in the shaft as apposed to the butt like standard cues gives it the characteristics of a Dufferin (I used to own one like this)

Riley? That sounds right. I was going to say AMF. Looks similar to the symbol you would see on the bowling alley and the old tables

As has already been mentioned, it's a Snooker cue. Many Americans think Snooker cues are supposed to 60 inches as are most made in the US. Most Snooker cues made outside the US are 57 inches, I've been told by Canadian Snooker acquaintances/friends.
