I have a 1971 Tad cue, which has been fully restored, with 2 shafts - one is 30", new from Tad, the other is 29", new, made by a local cue maker in Long Beach, Ca. Both are 13mm tips.
The cue weighs approx. 20.5 ounces. New finish, new wrap by Tad, this cue is a beauty. I have the receipt for the work Tad has done to authenticate the date of restoration.
The butt has a very slight warp near the joint - less than the thickness of a credit card. It is barely visible when rolling the cue with the shaft on. You cannot feel it or see it in play - zero effect on play.
The cue was picked up on 3/29/13 from Tad. I have put about an hour of play on it to test both shafts. Hits great, balance is slightly different with each shaft. I personally like the option to shift balance. I like it forward for straight pool and back for nine or ten ball.
Had a couple of respected players test it - they also liked it.
I have two other Tad's, one made for me in 1967 and the other made for me in 1982. This one is equally as good as the others - maybe better because it is brand new.
I am asking $2500 for it.
