Anyone ever here of Victor Billiard Co (Phila PA?) or Victor pool tables? I am trying to identify a pool table, and I think it may be a Victor - but I have never heard of them. Does anyone have any more info? It would be greatly appreciated.

Victors

I owned one 20 years ago and sold it to a friend who still has it. One of the features of my table was that the rails bolted into the slate from the side. It was a pretty solid table and enjoyed many games on it. If I remember right, the cloth on it was J.P. Stevens #1. Shows you how long ago it was. The return system came from each pocket down to the ball box. Hope this helps a little.

Contact Ed Lanza of Lanza Billiards, Magnolia, NJ, 856-346-0384. His father worked for Victor Billiards.

when i was 8 years old i learned how to play pool in my uncle's basement, in leonia new jersey on a regulation sized victor pool table, which he purchased out of a pool room. the year was 1968. my uncle still has the same table, all original equipment, talk about a cheapo guy!, also, he never plays, so why bother changing anything? anyhow, the table featured red pockets made of metal, and everytime you played into the side pocket in a certain way, the metal would ring! i heard, that a few years ago, the company went out of business. if you look carefully on the bert kinister tapes, i believe he uses a victor.
