My wife is from Romania, we go back o visit quite often. If you are in Bucharest or Alexandria area I would love to play you.
Whenever we went to pool halls it seemed to be more recreational players, are there any serious pool halls around there?
This is very cool. The patience taken to learn both (or all three, with TOI added) will give a person such a feel for the shot that whatever "system" he comes out the other end with will make him deadly. The beauty of "systems" is that the effort put into learning them gives one the feel of every type shot that would take a casual player just stumbling around years to develop. Those types of players (casual, blindly figuring it out through HAMB) have nothing to fall back on when they take a long break and come back to find the game has deserted them, too.
I've recently purchased a full HD camera and thought to test it while shooting some pool.
And because I'm trying to decide which aiming system to use constantly in order to become more consistent, I decided to record a friendly competition between Stan Shuffett's CTE Pro One and Gene Albrecht's Perfect Aim systems
To be honest both systems are great, I'm more comfortable with Perfect Aim because I've used it for like 3.5 years before I decided to give CTE Pro One a chance. But once I've become a bit more accustomed with Pro One I can say that I really like it, it's very objective, if you follow the steps you arrive in the center of the cue ball on the correct shot line!
Perfect Aim on the other hand requires quite some feel, you need to know from experience that perfect picture you want to get while standing and while getting down in your stance - and how to always keep the dominant eye in the dominant position for correct alignment.
In the video I run a rack of 8 ball using Perfect Aim on each shot, and then run the next rack using CTE Pro One on each shot, while trying to explain a bit after each rack how I shoot with each of these systems.
Hopefully my video can help someone who is struggling with either one of these systems: http://youtu.be/rlZIoPdWNR4
This is my first time posting a video of myself shooting, the position of the camera is not the best but hope it's acceptable...
Thanks for the video it is great effort. One major issue i have with everyone that post about aiming method, they do not show long, large angel difficult shots making consistently i mean OB and CB max distance and OB max distance from pocket shots, that is what players and every ABer search in this fourm to find out; unfortunately all aim systems get close but no cigar. There is no substitute for good aim, hard focus, and stroke to find the exact contact point for those hard key shots. All the shots in this video i would go down close my eye and make 99.9999% of them since none of the shots are larger than 1/2 a ball cut or 1/2 table length from pocket.
Here are some more shots for you, from our forum member Gerry Williams who uses CTE/Pro1 aiming system (there are a lot more videos on his youtube page where he plays the 9ball and 10ball ghost, does different shots and plays 14.1, these are just a few of his videos):

Watch these 4, then you can procede to watch other videos if you're not convinced.
Thanks much. Still shooting no more than 1/2 ball aim shots, maybe one or two bank shots are more than 1/2.. If i were to use a system i would use Elevate Pro system at least aiming at exact same spot for every shot on table..
Couldn't agree more Anthony...shouldn't it be an 8 pack though
We should make it a challenge - see who puts the largest package together against the 9 ball ghost
I will be free to play hopefully starting Sunday.
You agree with me!
Dont have to be a challenge Gerry just like to see you John or anyone else do it.Would show the positive side of aiming .(Not just making a ball)
I beat the 9 and 10 ball ghost with Pro One aiming - I will try to post a 5 pack Sunday or if I get time earlier.
We just moved so I have no wall excuses anymore![]()
I have no idea what you are trying to find out - the system works and it works well. Long shots at difficult angles are obviously more missable - this is why we try to play good position.
I tell you what - show us how you use your system with shots similar to the ones you state are so easy because they are 1/2 ball and half table shots.
If you give me some reference shots I will shoot them with Pro One - I have been swamped with 2 houses for the past 2 weeks but I am close to getting back playing more.
