Hey guys I have a video question for everyone.

Is it possible to add a scoreboard overlay after the video has already been created? I would like to add this to some matches I have recorded.

To edit my video etc. I am using Pinnacle Studio HD so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much.

I've done this for movies (not pool matches but no difference really). It's pretty easy but you need to do a bunch of scanning to find the score changes. You need to track down the spots you want to add the text in though and have it go through to a bunch of frames. I don't remember the Pinnacle interface offhand, but you should have a slider where you can select multiple frames to apply an edit to, and I know there is a text area you can add. You just select a "start" and "end" frame and go from there.

The only issue you may run into is that some formats don't save frame info, the editing software can't tell one frame from the next so you can't select start and end times.

I use Pinnacle and the short answer to your question is yes.

You ask about adding a scoreboard, I don't think that you can create a scoreboard with Pinnacle, I could be wrong as I am not a expert. However if you were to create a scoreboard using a different program it would be very easy to insert it, as an overlay, at any point on your video.

You can easily add a text overlay with the players names, scores etc. You can choose the font, point size and color of the text, word by word. This is done by using the Title menu and you adjust the size, the transparency and position it any place in the frame.

Just play with Pinnacle for a few minutes and you will see how easy it is. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
