Could you guys help me out here? I'm not sure how old this is, or if this is even a Helmstetter, but the guy who gave it to me to sell is in his 70's and says it's a Helmstetter. It has two shafts, one with a billiards taper and the other with more of a regular cue taper.

I'm going to sell it, but not sure about how much it's worth... what do you guys think?:

Weight: just over 18 oz. and 19 oz. with the two different shafts
Shaft diameters: both about 11 mm. at tip, not sure of what kinds of tips they have, but one seems to be softer than the other
Price: still don't know enough about it yet, but open to any offers
You can PM me with an offer if you like. I have another person here who is also interested in it.

PS-The case would be included as well.

I have found out more on this cue; I am now about 98% sure that it's a vintage Helmstetter from the 70's, after more input from you guys and doing my own research in the Pool Cue Blue Book. It also mentions in the Blue Book that these vintage Helmstetter cues with the wooden shaft joints are prized by collectors, especially for the signed ones... which were popularly used by the top players of the day.

Also I wanted to add that the billiard-tapered shaft has the softer tip on it.

I am also going to give my friend who owned the cue a call tomorrow about the cue and see if he can give me some more details about it's history, etc., and I'll post up my findings.
