Since I don't know the seating arrangement for this next event, all I have to go on is the KOH. The VIP seating was down on the floor next to the tables. The standard seats were in the bleachers. IMHO, some of the action would be tougher to see right at eye level. However if you want the full experience of hearing the players and refs communicate, etc. then you should flip for the VIP seats. I guess the question you have to ask yourself is...how often are you going to be able to do something like this? If this is it, then I would go for the best myself.
If you want to be right there close to the action and be able to talk with the players and hear their comments to their corner man and don't want to look over people's heads then yes, it is worth it.
Didn't they have plasma tvs over most of the tables at the KOTH, so you could see the layout of the table? If so, then VIP would be the way to go. Listen to the players comments and watch the action on the screen.
