i tried looking by question is in vnea rules you do your break shot then take the break shaft off and put on a shooting shaft. Does that go down as abreaking down the cue foul or is it allowed? thanks

No, the braking down the cue has to be I'm a way of conceding the game or sharking. It is best though to explain what you are doing to the opponent as to not cause issues.

If they try to call a foul after you talk about it, I believe that would fall under the sportsmanship rule, which would be a foul on them.

Shark move

It would be the same as screwing on a jump stubby or extension on a playing cue. I agree that it is more of a shark move.

The breaking down your cue stick rule is generally regulated to a "hill" match.
