Just wanted to let interested parties know that another step in the process has been completed. Some interviews were spread over two (and in one case three) different cassette tapes. Now, all the interviews have been pieced together and the lengths of these interviews (in minutes and seconds) are listed below:

“Machine Gun” Lou Butera (53m, 16s)
Dee Hulse & Al Winchenbaugh (20m, 09s)
Paul Heubler (23m, 17s)
Bill Stroud (33m, 0s)
Ronnie Allen (17m, 48s)
Richie Florence (34m, 07s)
“Cowboy” Jimmy Moore (28m, 03s)
Richie Ambrose (7m, 39s)
“The Rifleman” Buddy Hall (9m, 35s)
Bob Meucci (45m, 33s)
Paul Gerni (18m, 18s)
Vickie Frechen (11m, 33s)
Mike Sigel (19m, 34s)
Warren “Monk” Costanzo (4m, 33s)
Gloria Walker (15m, 06s)

Total time for all interviews is 5 hours and 40 minutes. They will all fit nicely on one CD if rendered in MP3 format, but many CD players and older DVD players will NOT play MP3 files. Almost all DVD players made within the last few years will play them just fine. Of course, just about any computer with a CD drive and Windows Media Player (or other media playing software) will play them. Or the files could be loaded into any ipod-type MP3 player. I could leave them as .wav files and create "regular" audio CDs, but it would take FIVE CDs for the interviews.

I still have to do some editing of the files and some other fiddling around with them to make them as understandable as possible.

Here's the list of AZ guys (and gals?) that have expressed an interest in getting the CD when it's ready:
