FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Why can't I buy AspenBux?
Because that would make it illegal gambling, given that this site is hosted in the United States.
How do I get AspenBux?
When you enter a free cash tourney, everyone will get some that makes it into the brackets.
Is this gambling?
Technically no. The free tournaments are open tournaments, which under most jurisidictions (including the United States) is legal to give out prizes. After that you are only trying to increase your AspenBux balance by playing other players. The best part is that it doesn't cost you anything. No deposits.
Why are the cash lobbies laggy?
There is a whole load of AspenBux account checking going on in cash lobbies for each game and when you join a table. Regular lobbies don't have this overhead.
How do I withdraw?
Go to the profile page on the website and click "withdraw".
What if I get banned?
Say goodbye to your AspenBux.
Do you really have the cash equivalent of all the AspenBux in play?
Yes I do. I do not practice fractional reserve lending.
How annoying are the ads going to be here?
The lobby will have it's one ad, there will be an ad every few games later, and the felt may have sponsors logos on it. (Somewhat transparent) I will not have those annoying screaming WII ads. Or the "OMG!" screamers.
What are Aspenbux?
AspenBux are basically tokens to use to play games against each other for tokens. You get AspenBux by playing (and more for winning) free AspenBux Tournaments. You cannot deposit money to get AspenBux, but if you get over 2000 you can withdraw via paypal.
AspenBux comes from sponsors and advertisements, some of which are donated back into the system.
AspenBux are mainly a promotion to thank our players for coming to Loneaspen.com and playing our games. The inherit value of AspenBux should make some of your games more interesting to play, we hope. This feature is under development at this time, but should be running soon.
How do you withdraw? Go to your profile and hunt for the withdraw button. It has to be manually processed at this time, so it can take a little bit - depending on what all is going on.
When is the best time to get on?
at the time I'm posting this thread won't be a very good time since not many tournaments or players on and i am not entirely sure when the best time is since I'm not on until 3 pm PST but i will say this i think 12 pm PST could be a good time. Thanks all and i hope you guys come and play here We will be waiting
