Hi Chris

If you don't get any joy from this, I have the Accu Stats catalogue up here in Leeds. I can post it to you. Steve is a legend of the game, a lot of players in the U.S. know him very well.

I hope Big Dave has passed on the info I gave him about Steve's cues, if not, he will do soon.

Thanks so much for passing that info on to Big Dave for me. I had no idea he'd even contacted anyone else after I emailed him. It's amazing how quickly things get passed on!

As you know, then, I've recently become a huge Steve Knight fan and as this match is his only Accu-stats one and as it's a win over another favourite player of mine it's a must see for me.

Where do you live in England? I would probably just charge you the Accu-Stats price (about $34) plus whatever the shipping is.

Ok, thanks alot but if you're going to charge the Accu-stats price then I'd just buy it from them anyhow. I wouldn't pay the same price for a used tape as I would for a new one. I know the tape is still available form Accu-stats themselves so it's not difficult to get hold of. Thanks again but I just don't want to spend $50 on it.

I understand. It wouldn't really be worth it for me to ship it to the U.K. anyways. I probably shouldn't have even offered to sell it. The tape has never been played though.

Just a comment about this. I was playing in a tourney in Detroit a few years back (i.e. 2002 I think), and someone stated that this guy in the corner was Steve Knight, some pro player from over seas. Well, my buddy was playing him in the tourney and winning, and I couldnt believe that he was a pro. Bad sets happen. Anyway, the irony of this story, is that the very next week, I happened to turn on ESPN, and they had this match (I believe) airing. I ended up recording it on VHS tape to show my friend. If its the same match, they are wearing the White sweaters during their match. I will check later today and see if its the same one.

Ok, thanks alot. If you have a tape of any match from ESPN with Steve in I'll be interested in it anyhow but if it is that one in particular that'd be fantastic. I've seen Steve play a lot of matches and he's the most feared player the UK has ever produced that's for sure. He really must just have had an off-day because he's never looked less than pro to me! Anyone who can hammer Francisco Bustamante 7-1 and beat Immonen, Chao etc has got to be good!

Have just thought a bit more about this and I think the match you have is going to turn out to be the meeting between the 2 players in the Challenge of Champions. The matching jumpers bit that you mentioned is the clue!!
