Wanted: Looking To Buy My Old Skip Weston Back

I sold my skip about 3 years ago :mad: and was interested in buying it back. If anyone has any leads on it please help me out. It is an ebony and curly maple four pointer i had him make for me it had ivory spears in the points and a ivory hoppe ring on the ebony butt. it had an irish linen wrap white and black I think. I think it just had the regular skip stiched rings. I remember selling it with my leather vincitore case i beleive. Oh yeah i think the veeneers where maple, verawood which is kinda green then satinwood and then ebony. i sold it on ebay. I remeber i had him make for me in the zsamboti look i have always liked. thanks alot in advance it would be nice to track this down as i am playing pool again since the kids are out of diapers.

no but thanks mine had ebon points with the verawood and maple and satin wood then ebony veneers. ivory spears in each point and all ebony butt with hoppe ring thanks though
 
I feel your pain buddy...I sold my skip last year, thinking I would never play this game again, and now I'm looking to reaquire that magic stick. I'm a bit more fortunate in that I know who I sold it to, and hopefully will be in the position to make an offer he can't refuse :P

Good luck to you, and may I just add that Skip is still taking orders and making fantastic cues (his point construction has been improved, as hard as that is to believe)...why not place an order if this search proves unfruitful?

I agree with Roger here...I have found Skip to be very easy to work with, and the results are amazing! I am sure he would be more than happy to help you re-create your old cue, should you be unable to locate it. :)

He is taking minimal orders, last I talked to him. He still thinks he will only do 30-40 cues per year.

I did, and it looks awesome. Those inlays are really very clever, and the ringwork is a nice little touch though I would rather see something different in that particular cue. I did notice that there is still no price on your site :)

I talked to skip about a new cue, but now it's just a question of design...I want his new point config (that fullsplice look) but it doesn't work with ebony noses, and damnit I want an ebony cue! So you see I am conflicted about this. I shall meditate on it more.
