Anyone remember the "Thumper Jumper"? I had one many years ago and was wondering if anyone had an extra one they would be willing to part with. But, in the alternative, I'll take a picture of the one you have ;)

Are you talking about the Jerico Thumper? If so, I don't think it's made anymore. The Stinger J/B is a MUCH better cue than the Thumper. There's a Stinger on Ebay. I thought about bidding on it, but I can only use one at a time! :)

Later,

Are you talking about the one that looked like a broom handle with a hard plastic cap on the end? It may have had a rubber handle as well. I may have one around here somewhere. I believe Gene Albrecht was the guy going around selling them in the midwest about 10 years ago.

It's kinda hard to describe: it looked more like a pour spout on a liquor bottle, kinda like the letter t -> it was only around 2 inches long, all plastic, and you screwed it into a shaft. You held it between your fingers (in the same shape as when you operate a computer mouse) and it let you do shaft jumps pretty easily.

I guess you could make one out of a shaft joint protector if you put a small rod through it, but the Thumper Jumper was a moulded, one-piece, shaft jumpin' plastic contraption ;)

The Thumper Jumper is more of a novelty item, and not really a playing cue - since it's only 2 or so inches (and is used for shaft jumps) it's not legal.

I don't need a break cue, or a j/b, I have a custom Andy Gilber J/B (which matches my Black - see my sig), a Bob Frey Break Cue, a Sledgehammer J/B, and a J&J J/B. I was just looking for the Thumper Jumper since it is a piece of pool history ; )

Sweet. If you come across any (or even a stash of them) let me know - If they are just collecting dust, I'll buy some of them up ;) [I'll PM my phone and e-mail to you]
