I’m not too worried about the joint collar. If it’s a good enough price I’ll put whatever on it for now. Really looking for a black joint one though. But I would put the white one on it. Here’s what the joint looks like on the cue now. I’ve been shooting with LD shafts for the past 5-6 years and going back to a standard shaft has my shots way off. I really don’t want to have to relearn compensating more for deflection in my shots.i have a black dot with a white joint collar. it was a second shaft from the Meucci Cameo cue. see the following link and look at the shaft collar. Yes 5/16x18 at least I think so. That’s the only thing meucci has used right? I got the cue this year on the 20th anniversary of my fathers passing. So it’s an older meucci from either the early to mid 90’s, he had it for a few years prior to passing. I received this cue a older McDermott that I vividly remember him buying off of a guy at the bar and also a unnamed snooker cue. How are the black dot shafts though?what threads are those? 5/16x18
Yeah, I just assumed since it was a meucci that it was the common 5/16x18 pin. I probably should double check. I’ll take it to the local cue shop tonight. They’re a mile away from where I live. You can buy Meucci cues with whatever pin you want. Usually the standard 5/16-18 pin will be found on them (95% of the time). i just wanted to check and make sure it wasn't different.
The black dot shafts play great. i just always liked the red dot shaft that came on my sneaky pete, so i always go back to it. if you like the way Meucci cues play you will like the black dot shaft... i like them.
The guy with the two black dots is willing to trade for my katana cue. Going to use an escrow service this week to do the trade with. You can buy Meucci cues with whatever pin you want. He’s covering shipping on his end. I’ve been looking online and the series of katana cue that I have are on ebay selling for around $325-$350 now. He was wanting $300 for both shafts. I just told him to cover shipping on his end then it was a deal. Going to be his fiancés shooter. Katana’s are pretty killer cues for the price. I first found out about them in Texas. The shop I used to go to down there to get tips put on showed me the katanas and I bought one back then. One of their first models. Then I ended up selling that one and getting the Kat12 2 years ago on seyberts. You should have tried to get some cash on top
I’ll give an update once I get it here. Going to throw the extra kamikazi medium that I have on there.Cool awesome ... Hope you like the black shafts
