Warp coat method

I would like to know abaut irish line wrap coat methond like Meucci cues, I have more doubts:

coat with laquer? with epoxy?

Can I coat only wrap area or is neccesary coat complete butt?

It is finish sprayed over the wrap after it has been prepped and sealed. I have to protect the way I do it but I'll tell you that it is best to spray the entire cue as opposed to just the wrap. Everyone one that I have seen, without doing the entire cue, has either cracked or been obvious at the transition.
