Can anyone give me an idea of playability, balance and type of hit of his cues please.

Wayne's fit and finish, construction and design seem flawless. His website is very informative as well.

But, not to mention any names, imo there are a couple top notch designers that can make a beautiful cue, however it seriously lacks "the hit".

Wayne is quite possibly the easiest cue maker to work with. Just a nice guy who is able to translate your ideas and your ideal 'hit' into a working product. I have so much respect for Wayne it is untrue.

Its no secret he has made me a large number of custom cues. The reason I keep going back is that they all hit the same way. You can't argue with that level of consistency. There are more players in the UK using his cues than any other custom cue maker. I haven't heard one complaint. I am also the secretary to the Pro Tour in the UK so I meet these players constantly.

You will not regret the decision, give him a call and tell him Simon D'Vali said hi.
 
Wayne makes a great cue and he stands behind his work very well. I think the biggest testiment to his quality is that you very rarely see one for sale. People keep them once they play with them.

What kind of price point are we talking about here? from SP to full splice.

My dealings with wayne have been nothing short of awesome! I met him at his shop, got the exact cue I wanted and it balanced awesomely. It was my 1st custom order, although I had talked to and met many other cuemakers, I went with him first and could not have been happier. I have had the cue for 9 years and its my main player still, and I still get comments and question about who made it.
